In November of last year we released a very special edition of Rock Rose Gin entitled Artists’ Edition 2020. This was borne from a competition we ran during the original 2020 Lockdown – ColourRockRoseGin2020. We asked people to colour our Rock Rose Gin label, entries were open for the public to vote and the top five went on to be professionally judged by the team at Pocket Rocket Creative.
Ruth Potts was our very talented winner and she created a thistle inspired design with our lovely wee dog, Mr Mackintosh, featuring in the corner!
Ruth won twelve bottles of her very own gin with her very own label – these were very kindly given to her mother as a rather fabulous birthday gift!
We loved her design so much, as did many of our fans, that we decided to release it as a Limited Edition which would raise money for charity. Ruth nominated her favourite charity, Help Musicians, as they had provided much support to her in a time of need and we selected Scottish SPCA, in honour of Mr Mackintosh.
Martin distilled a delightfully fresh citrus style gin using tangerine sage and lemon verbena grown in our very own distillery geodome. Artists’ Edition 2020 sold out within 48 hours with a waiting list for our contingency stock, raising £6,000 for both charities.
