Local Produce and Ingredients
It is a carefully put together creation of local produce and ingredients, the spirit is also infused with a carefully crafted vapour of Highland apples and apple juice, to complement the sweetness of the botanical Holy Grass. Holy Grass, so called as it was once used to bring a sweet, vanilla smell to church floors, brings a wonderful and distinct herbaceous flavour to our vodka!
Robert Dick
Our vodka is a tribute to Robert Dick, a legendary botanist from Tullibody who lived in Thurso in the 1800s. He discovered the botanical Holy Grass (or Anthoxanthum nitens) growing on he banks of Thurso river.
Martin will be distilling the very first batch next week and we will launch a pre-sale on Thursday 26th November!
We will put it on sale at 10am on our website to save anyone having to set their alarms to get up early, like they did for our first batch of Rock Rose! We will also take phone orders after this time.
We will aim to dispatch it to you from Thursday 3rd December.
