Our distillery is located in the beautiful village of Dunnet
on the iconic North Coast 500 route around the north of Scotland and the John O’ Groats to Lands’ End tourist route. Claire was born and brought up in Dunnet and we always planned to return to the area after studying and working away. We love living and working in Dunnet and we want you to love it too!

Getting Here

Dunnet Bay Distillery’s location is like no others! The beautiful village of Dunnet is on the iconic North Coast 500 route around the north of Scotland and the John O’ Groats to Lands’ End tourist route. 

By Car: 

From Thurso:

Approximately twenty minutes driving time from Thurso. Follow the A836 (John O’ Groats) for eight miles to the village of Dunnet. The distillery is on the left-hand side and signposted.

From Wick:

Take the A99 (John O’ Groats) until Reiss where you will continue onto the B876 to Castletown. At the junction turn right onto the A836 (John O’ Groats) to the village of Dunnet. The distillery is on the left-hand side and signposted. Driving time from Wick is approximately thirty minutes.

Electric Car Charge Point

Charge your car whilst you visit us! We have installed a 7KW charging station. This requires you to bring your own cable and you will need the Monta app downloaded. 40p per KW.

By Bus:

It is possible to visit the distillery using public transport. The local bus stop is a one-minute walk from the distillery, and we will offer you 10% discount off our tour price when you present a valid bus ticket.
