Kelp
Kelp are large brown algae seaweeds that grow in underwater forests in shallow oceans. The large, brown, flat blades of kelp are rich in iodine, protein, magnesium, calcium and iron – a real superfood! However, we use kelp to provide a fabulous umami flavour to the distillation.

Lemon Verbena
The leaves of this perennial, woody shrub have a bright citrus flavour – ideal for adding an extra citrus layer of flavour. Grown in our distillery geodome.

Liquorice Salt
Salt blended with pure liquorice root and aniseed by the Hebridean Mustard Company. Added post-distillation to bring the slightest hint of salinity to the gin.

I experienced this Gin while on holiday in Scotland and was blown away by its fresh flavour. Realising that they didn’t ship to Australia I quickly got one ordered and posted to our next accommodations and delicately transported it all the way back home. Until you commence shipping to Australia I will have to savour it very infrequently so that it lasts me!

Rock Rose quite simply makes the best gin. I enjoy being able to appreciate the subtle differences of each gin. The Citrus Coastal Edition reminds me of summer days on the beach, with the tang of kelp, the lightness of the lemon verbena and the salty aftertaste. One I really enjoy drinking on a summers evening sat in the garden.

This has been one of my favourite gins since buying it in August 20, followed by numerous fill ups for the lovely bottle. I find the refill pouches so convenient and eco friendly. Not saying I love this company but I have the Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, Coastal Citrus, Lassies Toast, Old Tom Grapefruit and the Artists Edition gins, would recommend them to everyone.
