Fresh pine notes to the fore, with eucalyptus and lemon.
A juniper forward gin with strong pine elements intertwined with peppery notes.
Clean lemongrass, citrus and juniper to finish.
A crisp, juniper-led gin!
Spruce is the conifer widely used as our Christmas trees! It grows plentifully in the Highlands of Scotland and we have a lovely forest full of conifers not a mile from the distillery. Spruce tips can eaten as they are, used in cooking or to make beer! Sailors of long ago used to make spruce essence to take on long voyages to use to make beer. We use spruce tips to impart a lovely fresh pine note with citrus elements to our Winter Edition to invoke feelings of a cool, crisp winter’s day.
The leaves of this perennial, woody shrub have a bright citrus flavour – ideal for adding an extra citrus layer of flavour. Grown in our distillery geodome.
Juniper is the predominant botanical – otherwise it just wouldn’t be gin! We select our juniper from two different countries. Both junipers are subjected to a vapour infusion process and the Bulgarian juniper gives lemon sherbert notes, whilst the Italian juniper gives a real warmth and depth to the flavour of the gin.
This is part of our commitment to responsible drinking.
Discovered this gem of a distillery while on the NC500 and what a find.
The distillery itself is gorgeous with such friendly helpful staff, but the gin…wow! Beautifully smooth, you can taste the botanicals. Bought a bottle and already had a refill pouch
As an added bonus, I also purchased some candles, which are by far the nicest candles I have ever had
Sue Williams –
Nothing compares to Rock Rose Gin and this one doesn’t disappoint. The pouches are also a game changer – so easy to use and return.

Stella McHattie –
A well balanced crisp gin. the pine really comes through. Not just for winter though!
Craig Y –
Love this crisp tasting gin! Even better with the winter garnish, although I personally also like it with the lemon & thyme. Being able to post the pouches for recycling is great!
Alexandra –
A great tasting gin. It’s so good that we’ve bought several refills! Love the refill pouch system too
Julie Bradley –
This is a really really lovely gin. I received my first bottle of winter edition as a gift in December 2016 and have been buying this edition ever since. I also love the new pouches as I always felt your bottles were far too nice to throw away. Great also as just pop the empties in the postbox back to you. Well done Rock Rose Gin brilliant initiative.
