Rock Rose Gin – Citrus Coastal Edition Miniature
Flavourful and fresh, zesty with a bracing sea air finish
Originally distilled as an exclusive edition for the Craft Gin Club in August 2020, it was so well received we decided to make it part of our core range. Our most experimental edition to date was inspired by the Caithness coastline and is distilled using locally foraged kelp from Shore Seaweed and liquorice salt from Hebridean Mustard Company.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Warm juniper notes giving way to bright lemon and verbena notes
Palate
Fresh citrus balanced with oceanic umami flavour of kelp.
Finish
A hint of salinity coming through from the liquorice salt with more citrus on the finish.
Botanical Symphony
Kelp
Kelp are large brown algae seaweeds that grow in underwater forests in shallow oceans. The large, brown, flat blades of kelp are rich in iodine, protein, magnesium, calcium and iron – a real superfood! However, we use kelp to provide a fabulous umami flavour to the distillation.
Lemon Verbena
The leaves of this perennial, woody shrub have a bright citrus flavour – ideal for adding an extra citrus layer of flavour. Grown in our distillery geodome.
Liquorice Salt
Salt blended with pure liquorice root and aniseed by the Hebridean Mustard Company. Added post-distillation to bring the slightest hint of salinity to the gin. *Sourced from a factory which handles mustard
The Perfect Serve
- Serve in a balloon stem glass with lots of ice, tonic, goji berries and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.
