Rock Rose Gin Spring Edition
A crisp, fresh taste of Spring with a long smooth finish.
Our Spring Edition is distilled using ingredients, foraged from the local area during Spring, that give a seasonal taste to our Original Rock Rose Gin. Reminiscent of a spring day in Caithness we use botanicals to provide a cool, refreshing taste! Coltsfoot from the distillery garden provides a delicious sweetness, while gorse flowers bring a gorgeous coconut like aroma. We have also used dandelion to help balance the sweetness with delicious earthy, liquorice flavours.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Clean and fresh to nose with hints of lime.
Palate
Wonderfully herbaceous with real citrus and juniper notes coming to the fore.
Finish
This gin finishes with cooling and fresh notes.
Botanical Symphony
Gorse Flowers
“When gorse is out of bloom, kissing is out of season.” Gorse can be found blooming all year round! Gorse flowers add a beautiful aroma reminiscent of coconuts.
Dandelion
No one seems to know how the dandelion got it’s name. Some say it is the jagged leaf which resembles a lions teeth! The young leaves are delicious in a salad but our Spring Edition uses the stem of the plant to bring delicious liquorice notes to the gin.
Coltsfoot
Coltsfoot was once used in confectionary and also as a short term relief for dry coughs. We have used coltsfoot from the distillery garden to provide sweeter elements to the Spring Edition
The Perfect Serve
- Try with freshly picked gorse flowers which works well with the cardamom notes (watch out for thorns if picking gorse!) Coriander leaf as a garnish will enhance the sweeter notes. Serve with tonic.

A friend recently gifted me a taster set of all 4 seasons and Spring comes out as my favourite. the addition of tasting cards and recipes is a very welcome addition as well as the amazing refill pouches.

My favourite of the seasonal Gins! The subtle citrus flavours it gives off truly make it an easy to drink and enjoyable gin.
I love all the seasonal gins for the different subtle flavours but the spring one just steals the top rating for me.
