Rock Rose Gin Citrus Coastal Edition
Flavourful and fresh, zesty with a bracing sea air finish.
Originally distilled as an exclusive edition for the Craft Gin Club in August 2020, it was so well received we decided to make it part of our core range. Our most experimental edition to date was inspired by the Caithness coastline and is distilled using locally foraged kelp from Shore Seaweed and liquorice salt from Hebridean Mustard Company.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Warm juniper notes giving way to bright lemon and verbena notes
Palate
Fresh citrus balanced with oceanic umami flavour of kelp.
Finish
A hint of salinity coming through from the liquorice salt with more citrus on the finish.
Botanical Symphony
Kelp
Kelp are large brown algae seaweeds that grow in underwater forests in shallow oceans. The large, brown, flat blades of kelp are rich in iodine, protein, magnesium, calcium and iron – a real superfood! However, we use kelp to provide a fabulous umami flavour to the distillation.
Lemon Verbena
The leaves of this perennial, woody shrub have a bright citrus flavour – ideal for adding an extra citrus layer of flavour. Grown in our distillery geodome.
Liquorice Salt
Salt blended with pure liquorice root and aniseed by the Hebridean Mustard Company. Added post-distillation to bring the slightest hint of salinity to the gin. *Sourced from a factory which handles mustard
The Perfect Serve
- Serve in a balloon stem glass with lots of ice, tonic, goji berries and garnish with a slice of grapefruit.

Delighted with the Citrus Coastal Edition, joins our favourites list along with the Sauternes Cask, Artists Edition and not to mention the Smoked Orange. Fabulous range of flavoursome gins that never disappoint

The coastal edition is my favourite. This slightly salty note is terrific. This gin has so much depth. I like it on the rocks

I discovered Rock Rose Gin a few years ago, and it’s now my firm favourite. I can’t choose one over the other so I drink them all. We did the Distillery tour in April which was fabulous. We came away with some lovely goodies and took advantage of the shop and stocked up. Thank you!

First tried this gin and the others on a tour of the Dunnet Bay distillery and it was our favorite. We have drunk that and ordered more. Nothing beats it.

First tried this gin through craft gin club, has since become my all time favourite gins.so smooth and clean tasting. Love the eco refill packs too, and are ideal for taking away with us.

This is next level. Just a hint of citrus without being overpowering or too tangy. Perfect balance. Last year I said i will get more for next summer. Recieced the gin but the sunshine is a bit behind.

This was the gin in my second ever Craft Gin Club box last August, and it is still my favourite gin. I absolutely love it- as well as grapefruit garnish or tonic it also tastes amazing with lime. I bought a large refill pouch (1.5L) through CGC but I’m almost finished with that too and I’m waiting to join the refill club until this is available in a refill pouch!

Had this when it came out as a special edition on a gin subscription. One of the best gins I’ve ever had and very unique! Makes absolutely incredible G&T’s as well as cocktails. Soooo happy to see it here but hopefully it will be available as a refill soon as I already have a bottle!
